Multifilament String

A multifilament tennis string is made from hundreds to thousands of tiny synthetic fibers (filaments) that are twisted and bonded together to mimic the feel of natural gut.

 Instead of being one solid piece (like polyester), it’s more like a bundle of micro-fibers wrapped in a protective coating.
